What Is The Message of Jubilee?

Jesus came to share the message of Jubilee - to set all captives free. This is for today as well!

“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, and he has anointed me to be hope for the poor, healing for the brokenhearted, and new eyes for the blind, and to preach to prisoners, ‘You are set free!’ I have come to share the message of Jubilee, for the time of God’s great acceptance has begun.”

🤍Luke 4:18

Jesus spoke these words to a bunch of people who didn’t have faith in him in his own hometown, Nazareth. Sometimes it’s the people most familiar with you who have a hard time believing who God made you to be. This happened with Jesus! Regardless, it’s nothing to be taken personally, but just a reminder to keep going. After all, we aren’t here to prove ourselves to others. We are here to be love and change the world through this love!!!!

Keep preaching. Keep teaching. Don’t listen to the naysayers or the ones who say you must wait or heal yourself first before you can heal others; we are continuously being perfected until we meet Jesus.

...After he read this he rolled up the scroll, handed it back to the attendant, and sat down. Everyone stared at Jesus, wondering what he was about to say. Jesus said to them, “I suppose you’ll quote me the proverb, ‘Doctor, go and heal yourself before you try to heal others.’ And you’ll say, ‘Work the miracles here in your hometown that we heard you did in Capernaum.’

Don’t fall for other people’s words. Why? Because Jesus didn’t!

...When everyone present heard Jesus’ words, they erupted with furious rage. They mobbed Jesus and threw him out of the city, dragging him to the edge of the cliff on the hill on which the city had been built, ready to hurl him off. But he walked right through the crowd, leaving them all stunned.

The above verse is a reflection of the persecution that will come when you walk in the truth! Remember - we are called to love people... but we must always remember what our true battle is against... the powers and principalities of this world (Ephesians 6:12)!
